Our Building Process

"An outstanding experience" - That was how one home owner described the building process with Evans Coghill Homes. We can promise you an outstanding experience, too. The process has won Evans Coghill Homes a national Pacesetter award and now you will be able to benefit from it.

1.) Neighborhood and Builder Introduction - Let us introduce you to your new neighborhood, its features and amenities.

2.) Home Plan Selection - Evans Coghill Homes offers a dozen different home plans with numerous options and great flexibility. Allow us to incorporate your wishes and budget and develop a home plan just for you.

3.) Purchase Agreement and Website Introduction - Along with the Purchase Agreement for your new home, we will introduce you to Evans Coghill's Home Owner Wire. This is a password protected website for your home documents, plans and communications. This is the starting point for reliable information about your new home.

4.) Builder Meeting - You along with a member of Evans Coghill's Building Team, will discuss desired plan modifications, green home options, site considerations and elevation options.

5.) Design Center Orientation and Selections - Working with an Evans Coghill designer, you will be taken through the selections process for your new home. All rooms will be discussed while choices are made to complement your personality. If you wish it, Evans Coghill will make every effort to built it!

6.) Pre-Construction Meeting - When your home is about to begin, you will be introduced to Evans Coghill Homes' building process, how to access home progress reports, discuss what to expect and when and approve your final plans.

7.) Frame Tour - Evans Coghill Homes invests a great deal in building a quality home. You need to know what we do that makes your home unique. At this onsite meeting, you will see what is "behind the walls" and why it makes your home one of the highest quality homes available.

8.) Post Trim Tour - The cabinets, flooring and paint are being installed during this phase. At this onsite meeting, we will review all selections to make sure they are being installed to meet your expectations, discuss landscaping options and confirm our closing schedule.

9.) Home Owner Orientation - Your new home is complete! You will be introduced to your new Evans Coghill home. We will demonstrate all the features of your new home, confirm that the home meets your expectations and our agreement.

10.) Home Closing - A great day and the beginning of many years of enjoying your Evans Coghill home.

90 Day and Eleven Month Warranty - A member of Evans Coghill Home's Building Team will schedule an appointment and personally visit your home to inspect it for any warranty needs and address any warranty issues you may have.

Years and Years - You will continue to enjoy your Evans Coghill home, receive compliments on its authentic architecture and appreciate the decision you made.
